Where these names come from

Town zoning-department page links only a 196-page scanned PDF (July 13, 2024 edition) with no text layer. Read the searchable text edition instead: 'Town of Putnam Zoning Regulations' effective July 17, 2014, amended through October 20, 2022, hosted at portal.ct.gov (CSC docket DO514). Verified the district list is unchanged in the current July 13, 2024 edition by rendering and reading pp. 33 (Sec. 301 Establishment and Purposes of Districts) and 57 (Table III-1 Schedule of Uses and Districts) of the scan. The ordinance writes the residential codes both ways: parenthetically as AG2/R40/R20/R10/R7 in the Sec. 301 headings and in Table III-1, and hyphenated as AG-2/R-40/R-20/R-10/R-7 in its own purpose statements; the hyphenated form is returned. QTP is Sec. 301.D.2, which replaced the Technology Park Overlay District (TPOD) effective 8/11/2018. Assessor code SZD appears nowhere in the regulations or the schedule-of-uses district headers.
