Our reading is derived from what is actually built in each district today, not from the code string — a code like R-15 means different things in different Connecticut towns. It is an estimate, and the regulations linked above are the authority.
Where these names come from
Read the town's own PDF: "Zoning Regulations" rev. 11/21/2024, linked from deepriverct.us Planning & Zoning page (https://www.deepriverct.us/DocumentCenter/View/3220/Zoning-Regulations--Rev). District list taken verbatim from Section 3.1 LIST OF DISTRICTS, corroborated by the Section 4 district headings. All 7 assessor codes matched. Note on spelling: Section 3.1 and Section 4 write the three village districts as VR, VMU and VC, while Section 7A (Village District regulations) writes the same three districts as VRD, VMUD and VCD. Assessor codes VRD and VCD are therefore the same districts as VR and VC; per instruction the Section 3.1 (canonical enumeration) spelling is returned.
