Our reading is derived from what is actually built in each district today, not from the code string — a code like R-15 means different things in different Connecticut towns. It is an estimate, and the regulations linked above are the authority.
Where these names come from
Read the City's own PDF: "Zoning Code of The City of Middletown, Connecticut" (adopted 2/7/1927; readopted by the P&Z Commission 10/5/2022; amendments effective July 1, 2026), from https://www.middletownct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/27649/Zoning-Code-Effective-712026. District list taken from §1.9 Zoning Districts and the Article II section headings. §2.2-§2.5 (R-15, R-30, R-45, R-60) have an empty "Description" and the code gives them no name, so those are returned with an empty label. Assessor codes PRD-2 and MX do not appear anywhere in the ordinance.
