Our reading is derived from what is actually built in each district today, not from the code string — a code like R-15 means different things in different Connecticut towns. It is an estimate, and the regulations linked above are the authority.
Where these names come from
Read the Town of Granby Zoning Regulations PDF from the town's own Document Center (granby-ct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/612, linked off the PZC page as 'Zoning Regulations Effective Date 8/17/26'); latest amendment adopted 7/28/2026, effective 8/17/2026. District roster taken verbatim from Sec. 1.1 'Zone Types' plus Sec. 3.10 (T1) and the Sec. 8 overlay zones. Assessor 'FRD' is not a mapped base zone - it is the Sec. 8.20 'Flexible Residential Development' special-permit development option, returned here with the ordinance's own verbatim name. Assessor 'CO' could not be matched: the ordinance's only similar code is COCE (Commercial Center), and CO is a truncation rather than a punctuation/spacing variant, so it is left unmatched rather than guessed. Assessor data has no code for T1, the historic overlay, or the two Sec. 8 overlay zones.
