Where these names come from

Read the Town of Windsor Locks master Zoning Regulations PDF at cdn.townweb.com/windsorlocksct.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/MASTER_ZR_May_2025_V5.pdf, cover reading '2024 Printing / Updated May 2025' (page footers read 'Printing: July 1, 2024'; body contains an amendment dated 2/1/2025). The linked town page windsorlocksct.org/planning-and-zoning-commission/ points to this file. Section 301 (Chapter III Districts) is the establishing roster of 13 districts. Code spellings: Section 301 writes the three residence zones out as names ('Residence AA Zone', 'Residence A Zone', 'Residence B Zone'); the Section 402 use table and Section 403 dimensional table abbreviate them 'RES AA', 'RES A', 'RES B' - used the table abbreviations as the codes. The assessor data carries two spellings for the same three districts: RESA and RA both map to RES A, RESB and RB both map to RES B, and RAA maps to RES AA. Likewise Section 301 writes the renewal districts as 'R-DRD' and 'B-DRD' while the Section 402/403 tables write 'RDRD' and 'BDRD' (the assessor's spelling) - same districts, Section 301's spelling returned. All 13 assessor codes matched. AIOZ and MSOZ are overlay zones defined in Section 301 but absent from the assessor sample.
