Our reading is derived from what is actually built in each district today, not from the code string — a code like R-15 means different things in different Connecticut towns. It is an estimate, and the regulations linked above are the authority.

Where these names come from

Read the Building Zone Regulations (Chapter 6, Greenwich Municipal Code), 'Full Version August 2023' PDF from greenwichct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/37847, linked off the Building Zone Regulations page; that page also posts individual text amendments adopted through July 2026 (signs, PA 25-1 compliance, dwellings in business zones, historic overlay, smoke shops) - none of which add or rename a zone class. District list is Sec. 6-2 'Classes of Zones', which the ordinance itself states is 33 classes (the 32 rows below, with H covering H-1 and H-2). UNMAPPABLE: every assessor code supplied (10, 13, 12, 14, 15, 16, 11, 91, 3, 2, 20, 4, 8, 19, 34, 5, 24) is a bare integer with no correspondence to the ordinance's alphanumeric zone codes - these are internal assessor/CAMA numeric codes and cannot be mapped to districts from the ordinance text alone. Note also that Sec. 6-205 maps LBR as LBR-1 and LBR-2, but Sec. 6-2 establishes the class as LBR.
